Little Scholars Pre-school

At Little Scholars we provide care for children from 2 years & 6 months to school age. All children are entitled to 2 full academic years on the ECCE scheme.

Government Scheme

We are participating providers of the Government scheme which is funded by DCYA (Department of Children and Youth Affairs). This ECCE Scheme provides a free year of early childcare and education for children of pre- school age. The scheme is run over 38 weeks for 3 hours per day 5 days per week

Duration

All children are entitled to 2 full academic years on the ECCE scheme.

Eligibility

Children are eligible to start the ECCE scheme in the September of the year that they turn 3 years old.

In our ecce rooms the activities are designed to develop fine and gross motor skills, language, imagination, emotion and social awareness in a fun and play based environment. Our two rooms are fully equipped with an abundance of resources which are all age appropriate.

Activities are child focused and led by their natural curiosity and imagination. Each child’s development and growth is nourished and nurtured. Every child’s journey is unique and developmental observations and learning journals are recorded and shared with parents regularly
